The K-Town Group will help you out travelling to Kosjeric as easy as possible. From your departure in Belgrade (weather you have arrived by train, bus or plane) our people will join you with your further journey to Kosjeric. You will get all the information you need in the INFO-SHEET days before the camp starts.

Nevertheless, if you wish to visit us for another occasion, here is the information on how to get here:

Due to the geographic position of Kosjeric, it is easy to travel to the town from every part of Serbia. Kosjeric is 130 km from Belgrade, halfway in between the towns of Valjevo and Uzice with a distance of 46 km to both of them. The adriatic cost is 340 km from Kosjeric; and the distance to the mountain centres of Divcibare and Zlatibor are 26 km to the first and 56 km to the second.

If coming by car from the North, drive by the main road Valjevo-Pozega. It takes about two hours to drive from Belgrade and more than three hours from Novi Sad via Sabac. If you travel from East or South go by the same road; it takes an hour from Uzice and from Cacak to get to Kosjeric.

Kosjeric is placed on the main railway route between Belgrade and Bar (at the Montenegrin coast), and you can go to Kosjeric by train from Belgrade, Valjevo, Pozega, Uzice, Cacak, Kraljevo, Nis and many other places. It takes around tree hours to go by train from Belgrade.

Riding by bus, the best way is firstly to go to Pozega (23 km from Kosjeric) or Uzice (46 km from Kosjeric) and then by bus to Kosjeric. The bus operates on a daily basis from the towns above.

ABOUT KOSJERIĆ

Kosjeric is a town in Western Serbia. All municipality has around 10 000 inhabitants, but the town itself has 3 000. Municipal has 359 square kilometers with 26 villages mostly placed in the rivers valleys, but there are also some settlements on the mountains high more than 1000 meters. The town itself has very good geographic location; it is situated on the way between Vojvodina and Belgrade on the other side and Adriatic see on the other. The town is near famous mountain touristy centers: Divcibare and Zlatibor. It is hard to estimate exact time when the town was founded. Near the town archeologists found Roman and Serbian medieval relicts, but it is believed that mass immigration became before Serbian Revolution at the beginning of nineteen century with people from Montenegro, East Bosnia and Western Serbians mountains Zlatibor and Tara. A legend says that the first inhabitants were Antnoje Kosijer and his sons from the village Kosijer in Montenegro and Jovan Baranin and his sister with her seven sons from the village Bare in Montenegro.

Fastest development began at 1882, but it was suppressed by the faster growing ecomics of nearby bigger towns, Valjevo and Pozega. Kosjeric reached the status of the town in 1966 and economic development after finishing of the Belgrade-Bar railway in 1972.

Today Kosjeric is the town with the highest economic standard in Western Serbia. It has Cement Factory that is one of the most successful companies in Serbia. After the fall of socialism Kosjeric soon became the town with the highest part of private capital in whole country.

Kosjeric is known together with other places in its surroundings from the producing of raspberries, fresh air and beautiful nature. The town is surrounded by high mountains, fields, wood and sources and it is famous for country tourism and producing of healthy food. Fresh air and nice climate are very appropriate for different sports; hence Kosjeric became the famous sport center equipped with different types of sport fields on 4 hectares, sport hall with 700 places, Olympic pool and several football, basketball and handball playgrounds.
